We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Swine Technician to join our swine production team. As a Swine Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of pigs in our swine facility. Your role will involve feeding, monitoring health, administering medications, maintaining facilities, and assisting with various tasks related to swine production.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and feeding of pigs, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and access to clean water.
• Monitor the health and behaviour of pigs, identifying any signs of illness or distress.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian or supervisor.
• Perform routine tasks such as weighing pigs, sorting and moving animals, and maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with farrowing operations, including assisting sows during the birthing process and caring for newborn piglets.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the swine facility, including regular cleaning of pens, equipment, and feeding areas.
• Monitor and adjust environmental conditions, such as temperature and ventilation, to provide a comfortable and safe environment for the pigs.
