As a Project Engineer (Mechanical Engineer), you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, architects, and technicians, to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and effective communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:
   • Plan, organize, and coordinate mechanical engineering projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
   • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
   • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
   • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.
2. Design and Engineering:
   • Conduct engineering analysis and calculations to determine project feasibility and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
   • Generate detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical systems and components.
   • Provide technical guidance and support to design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
   • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and other technical documents.
3. Procurement and Vendor Management:
   • Identify project equipment and material requirements and collaborate with procurement teams to source and procure necessary components.
   • Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to secure the services of external contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
   • Monitor vendor performance, ensure adherence to quality and delivery requirements, and resolve any issues or conflicts.
4. Quality Assurance and Testing:
   • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
   • Conduct testing and inspections of mechanical systems and components to verify performance and identify any deficiencies.
   • Analyze test results and implement corrective actions to address any non-conformities or performance issues.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, change orders, and technical specifications.
   • Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting project status, key milestones, and risks.
   • Communicate project updates and key information to team members and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
