Job Description:

Ex-EPA (Elderly, Disabled, and Palliative Care) Care Workers are individuals who have previously worked in the field of caregiving for the elderly, disabled, or individuals requiring palliative care. They have acquired experience and skills in providing compassionate and personalized support to individuals with diverse care needs, ensuring their well-being and maintaining their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities of Ex-EPA Care Workers:

  1. Personal Care Assistance: Providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Assisting individuals with eating, medication management, and other personal care needs.
  2. Emotional Support: Offering emotional support and companionship to individuals under their care. Engaging in conversation, actively listening, and providing reassurance and empathy to promote a sense of well-being and mental wellness.
  3. Medication Administration: Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, adhering to proper dosage and timing. Keeping accurate records of medication intake and reporting any concerns or changes in the individual’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  4. Mobility Assistance: Assisting individuals with mobility challenges, including transferring to and from beds, chairs, and other areas. Utilizing mobility aids such as walkers, canes, or wheelchairs, and ensuring the safety and comfort of the individual during movement.
  5. Care Planning and Reporting: Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to develop individualized care plans. Documenting and reporting observations, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns related to the individual’s well-being.
  6. Companionship and Recreational Activities: Engaging individuals in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Planning and facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation, physical activity, and social interaction.
  7. Meal Preparation and Nutrition: Assisting with meal planning, preparation, and feeding according to dietary requirements and individual preferences. Monitoring nutrition and hydration, promoting healthy eating habits, and addressing any dietary concerns or restrictions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be a Prof’l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof’l License Exam) holder.
  • Must be an Ex-EPA or have at least completed Caregiving Technical Intern Trainee Program
  • Must have at least Japanese Language Proficiency Test N4
