Job Description:

A Furniture Carpenter is a skilled professional who specializes in crafting and constructing various types of furniture. They work with different types of wood and materials to create functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces. The role requires expertise in woodworking techniques, precision, and attention to detail.


  1. Furniture Construction: The Furniture Carpenter constructs furniture pieces according to design specifications, blueprints, or customer requirements. They use various hand and power tools to cut, shape, and join wood and other materials to create furniture components.
  2. Material Selection: The Carpenter selects appropriate types of wood and materials based on the furniture design, purpose, and customer preferences. They consider factors such as durability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness when choosing materials.
  3. Measurement and Cutting: The Carpenter takes precise measurements of wood and other materials and uses cutting tools, such as saws or routers, to cut them into the required sizes and shapes. They ensure accuracy and minimize waste by carefully planning and executing the cutting process.
  4. Joinery and Assembly: The Carpenter uses woodworking techniques, such as mortise and tenon, dovetail, or tongue and groove, to create strong and secure joints for assembling furniture pieces. They use hand or power tools to assemble the components, ensuring proper alignment and structural integrity.
  5. Finishing and Refinishing: The Furniture Carpenter applies finishes to furniture pieces, such as stains, paints, or varnishes, to enhance their appearance and protect them from wear and tear. They may also perform refinishing tasks, such as sanding or polishing, to restore or revitalize existing furniture.
  6. Customization and Repairs: The Carpenter may work on custom furniture projects based on specific customer requests. They may also perform repairs or modifications to existing furniture, such as fixing broken parts, replacing hardware, or resizing furniture to fit new spaces.


  • A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
  • Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
  • Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills.
