A Fiberglass Boat Specialist is a skilled professional who specializes in the construction, repair, and maintenance of fiberglass boats. They work with fiberglass materials, resins, and various tools to fabricate boat components, repair damages, and ensure the structural integrity of fiberglass boats. The role requires expertise in fiberglass boat construction techniques, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of marine craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

1. Boat Construction: The Fiberglass Boat Specialist participates in the construction of fiberglass boats, including hulls, decks, and other structural components. They work from boat designs or specifications, lay fiberglass materials, apply resins, and use appropriate tools and techniques to shape and bond the fiberglass components together.
2. Mold Preparation: The Specialist prepares Molds for boat construction by applying Mold release agents, ensuring proper alignment, and verifying the condition of Molds. They may also assist in the creation or modification of Molds to meet specific boat design requirements.
3. Fiberglass Layup: Using fiberglass cloth or mat, the Specialist applies layers of fiberglass to the prepared Mold or boat structure. They apply resins and use techniques such as hand layup or vacuum bagging to achieve proper fibre orientation and consolidation.
4. Structural Reinforcement: The Specialist reinforces boat structures by adding additional fiberglass layers or employing reinforcement techniques such as stringer installation, transom reinforcement, or bulkhead construction. They ensure the structural integrity and stability of the boat.
